Al Hilal Win Historic Treble With King Cup Victory

Al Hilal reached the 2019/20 King Cup final to face Al Nassr who had not won the cup since 1990. Al Hilal won by 2-1 to complete the historic Treble.

Al-Hilal Saudi Football Club (نادي الهلال السعودي) is a professional multi-sports club based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The football team competes in the Saudi Professional League, the top tier of the league system in Saudi Arabia. It was founded in 1957 and has won a record 17 league titles, 9 King Cups, 2 Asian Club Championships, and 2 AFC Champions Leagues.

Al Hilal's victory over Al Nassr was their sixth King Cup triumph in a row, and their 15th overall. The win also completed a historic treble for the club, as they had already won the Saudi Professional League and the AFC Champions League earlier in the season.

Al Hilal were worthy winners of the King Cup, as they dominated the match from start to finish. They took the lead in the first half through a goal from Bafetimbi Gomis, and they doubled their advantage in the second half through a goal from Salem Al-Dawsari.

Al Nassr pulled a goal back late on through a penalty from Abderrazak Hamdallah, but it was not enough to prevent Al Hilal from claiming the victory.
