Jarrad Branthwaite And Nathan Patterson On Cusp Of Return For Everton

Jarrad Branthwaite and Nathan Patterson on cusp of return for Everton

Patterson due back in 10 days, Branthwaite 'close', says Dyche

Jarrad Branthwaite and Nathan Patterson are nearing full fitness and could be in contention to make their Everton comebacks soon, manager Sean Dyche has said.

Patterson, 20, has missed the last three games with an ankle injury, while Branthwaite, 20, has been out since August with a foot problem.

But Dyche revealed in his pre-match press conference on Friday that both players are making good progress and could be back in action soon.

"Nathan is doing really well. He's probably 10 days away from being back in full training," Dyche said.

"Jarrad is close. He's out on the grass, doing a lot more work now. He's not far away from being available as well."

The return of Patterson and Branthwaite would be a major boost for Everton, who have been struggling with injuries in recent weeks.

Dyche has been without a number of key players, including Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Yerry Mina, and Abdoulaye Doucoure, in recent weeks.

The return of Patterson and Branthwaite would give Dyche more options in defense, and could help to ease the burden on the likes of Conor Coady and James Tarkowski.

Everton are currently 19th in the Premier League table, and are in desperate need of a win to boost their survival hopes.

They host Southampton at Goodison Park on Saturday, and will be hoping to get back to winning ways and move out of the relegation zone.
